Report: Supported 7 boats (5 rubberboats / 2wooden boats), took 447 persons out of 5 boats (2 wooden / 3 rubber boats) on board, further 250 were supplied with life jackets and handed over to larger ships; 140 were transferred to Irish warship JAMES JOYCE immediately in order to relief situation on board. Further people were transferred to Italian coast guard vessel L’DATTILLO in the evening.

Report: massively overcrowded rubber boat, rescue together with ITS VEGA; two unconscious Person found, CPR was conducted without interruption until arrival on board MV IUVENTA. Doctor declared death of he two patients.After completion of rescue operation all rescued persons and two bodies from IUVENTA were transferred to TOPAZ RESPONDER

Report: Close to Spanish warship, people taken on board with dinghy moored alongside IUVENTA, Handover was planned to BOURBON ARGOS but had to be stopped due to medical issues on board BOURBON ARGOS. IUVENTA was requested by MRCC to proceed in the direction of Lampedusa for rendezvous at sea. In frequent contact with MRCC it was advised that IUVENTA cannot proceed further north because of the sea state and people suffering from seasickness on deck and also due to crowd control and provision matters. Two ICG speedboats were sent from Lampedusa to arrange transfer.
